CruisePak Overview
CruisePak is a computer program that helps you run your travel agency. It tracks your cruise bookings, tour bookings, and all general travel bookings (air, car, hotel, etc.). In addition, it helps you in marketing your travel agency and it helps you in keeping track of all the financial transactions normally associated with running a travel business.

CruisePak And Security
CruisePak contains a User ID, Password access validation scheme. Furthermore, CruisePak employs a by agent security model. In CruisePak, agents can be configured to have access to certain things, while being prohibited from accessing other things. Also, CruisePak has audit trail monitoring. This tracks changes to bookings behind the scene…even deletions. Combine this Windows security and you’ll find that there is a fairly robust security model in place to provide reasonable protection.
CruisePak And The Internet
Although CruisePak is installed and resides on one’s personal computer, and the fact that the data too is stored on the same computer (unless networked and then on a local computer), CruisePak data can still be accessed via the internet. The tool by which this is done is called the Connector.
The Connector allows secure, controlled access to your CruisePak data via the internet. So, for example, one could write web pages and have them submit booking data…which would then automatically flow into CruisePak through the Connector.
This methodology is the most secure and avoids all the legal pitfalls associated with storing your data on the internet. Issues such as privacy rights violations, identity theft, unauthorized access are all avoided by implementing the connector technology.
CruisePak And Supplier Integration
Slowly but surely supplier integration is occuring. What that means is that CruisePak interfaces or connects to suppliers who support such technology. When CruisePak connects, you have live access to data. And that means you can finalize your transactions with suppliers through CruisePak. Right now, CruisePak is concentrating on interfacing with Amadeus and 3rd party insurance providers.
